JR Communications has created nationwide marketing and communications campaigns for education organizations and companies. We help clients in the education sphere reach the “communities” they wish to speak to, engage with and serve. Our portfolio includes campaigns that elevate awareness for equity in education, first-generation graduates, innovation and community support-informed practices, 21st century learners and more.
District of Columbia College Access Program (DC-CAP): Through strategic communications counsel and program implementation, positioned the organization to be recognized as a national model on college access for low income students. The campaign continues to generate significant regional and national media attention to the educational challenges facing low-income high school students in attending and graduating college. Earned media results to date have significantly increased donations from national and regional foundations and corporations.
United Way of the National Capital Area: As part of a five-year strategic communications strategy to raise awareness for the organization’s work in education, health and economic opportunity, an earned media campaign was created to spotlight its community school program. The campaign garnered regional media attention on the innovative model United Way NCA brought to the 13 schools that opened throughout the DC, Maryland, Virginia regions, which generated an increase in funding support
Envision: Within a three-week lead time, launched a strategic communications program that garnered extensive and positive earned media attention for the company’s 9th Presidential Inauguration Leadership Summit including its 21st Century Learning programs. The campaign bolstered the company’s reputation,
which was significantly damaged due to a decade of negative press coverage.
